What’s Next? – Workshop #1

Time to take your art career to the next level? This workshop will examine a number of traditional and digital strategies to help you determine who your market is and how to effectively reach it. You are welcome to bring your portfolio.

Location: 1859 Kingston Road, Toronto.
Cost: $20 ($15 for SAC members)

The Big Picture – Workshop #2
Wednesday, December 2, 2009 — 7:00 – 9:00pm

When it comes to securing exhibitions, commissions, grants and clients, if you can’t photograph your artwork at a professional level, no one will take your portfolio seriously. This hands-on workshop will provide you with an overview of valuable photographic strategies and tips. You are welcome to bring your own camera and small to mid-size artwork.

Location: 1859 Kingston Road, Toronto.
Cost: $20 ($15 for SAC members)

The 2009 SAC Professional Practice workshops will be lead by David McClyment.

David McClyment has been exhibiting professionally for 30 years, locally, regionally, and internationally in commercial galleries, artist-run centres, public galleries, and artist co-operatives. His work has been generously supported by the Canada Council, the Ontario Arts Council, and the Toronto Arts Council. He is currently represented by the David Kaye Gallery on Queen West and is the Co-ordinator of the Fine Arts Studio Program at Centennial College, where he has been nominated for TVO’s Best Lecturer in Ontario Contest.
