My artistic journey began in 2020 with a small painting I called Snowfall. I was trying to capture “sadness,” though at the time I didn’t yet have the language for what I was feeling. The result was clumsy, simple, and achingly sincere. I thought I had ruined it, but that piece became the quiet beginning of everything.
Since then, my art has become a mirror for transformation. I no longer create to explain myself, but to meet myself. I paint intuitively, following emotion before logic, color before concept. Each layer becomes a conversation between who I was, who I am, and who I am still becoming.
My most recent piece, created in 2025, was born in a season of surrender. I had left everything behind—marriage, certainty, safety, and painted without a plan. What emerged wasn’t control, but trust. Alongside the painting, I wrote words that arrived like a transmission—an echo of belief made visible.
Looking back, my art tells the story of someone learning to believe in her own becoming. It isn’t perfect, but it’s alive. Maybe that’s what all art really is: proof that even through chaos, we keep creating anyway.

Khush Bakht is a multidisciplinary artist and storyteller based in Toronto. Her work explores transformation, emotion, and the human experience, often created in the tension between control and surrender. She paints intuitively, following feeling before form, letting emotion move faster than logic can catch it. Her creative journey began accidentally with a single painting sold on Etsy. Since then, every piece has become an experiment in faith, surrender, and becoming. Her work has evolved into deeply personal paintings that blur memory, healing, and self-expression.
