Shamika Pierre
Our Featured Artist: Shamika Pierre
Shamika Pierre is a Scarborough-based visual artist who recently graduated with a BFA in Illustration at Ontario College Of Arts and Design.
As a Black Caribbean woman, her work is an outlook of the Black experiences that she lived and shared with her community, culture, and personal heritage. She looks at the places, interactions, and stories left unseen and reflects them through her own lens. Her process is intuitive; she tries to bring these perspectives as humanely as she can.
