The World in a Block Party Main Stage Featured by OMNI Filipino

Scarborough Arts is thrilled to share that The World in a Block Party was recently featured on OMNI Filipino.

See the reportage above, "A Filipino Canadian band was featured at a cultural festival in Scarborough, where they played OPM songs for Canadians. Keisha Balatbat reports."

We are especially grateful to Soundlife Scarborough for their partnership in bringing Studio Mahilo to the Main Stage, creating an incredible moment of Filipino musical celebration and cultural connection.

Alongside our other Main Stage partners, RISE Edutainment and Spoken Soul Collective, the stage became a vibrant showcase of the diversity that shapes Scarborough's creative soundscape. From live music and performance to spoken word and community storytelling, the Main Stage reflected the many voices, cultures, and artistic traditions that make Scarborough unique.

The World in a Block Party Weekend Two, presented by STC, was supported by the City of Toronto's Community Celebration Support Fund and Toronto Arts Council, with additional funding from the Ontario Arts Council, Delta Bingo & Gaming, and the Government of Canada. Live stage programming is presented in collaboration with RISE Edutainment, Soundlife Scarborough, and the Spoken Soul Collective.

This project has been funded by the City of Toronto's World in A City Small Business Support Fund, as part of Government of Canada support through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
