Welcoming Beth Helmers: An Evening of Arts, Connection, and Community

Last week, Scarborough Are had the pleasure of hosting a Meet n’ Greet to welcome our new Executive Director, Beth Helmers

Hosted at Cedar Ridge Creative Centre, the event brought together a vibrant and diverse group of community members, artists, city builders, and cultural workers  each one connected by their shared love of the arts and commitment to Scarborough.

A special thank you to Marie (@sotto_premium) & Rimaz (@rimaz_mohamed), for facilitating such meaningful engagement, Sharon Tung (@sharonjoytung) our live portrait artist throughout the evening, and to Alicia (@lensoflicia) for capturing the energy in the room through lovely documentation captured below.

A room full to the brim with love for the arts, community, and Scarborough! Thank you to all our attendees for the meaningful conversations, warm introductions, and reflections on community arts in Scarborough. A powerful way to begin this exciting new chapter!
