Join us for a return of Kay Nadjiwon's workshop "Intro to Beading” this fall season for six weekly 2-hour workshop sessions where you'll learn some introductory beadwork skills, including brick, peyote, and flat stitch. Together, we'll practice these techniques and work on creating our own pair of fringe earrings, a beaded wrist lanyard, and a small pin.

Kay Nadjiwon (they/them) is a queer 2S Anishinaabe (Ojibwe + Potawatomi) artist raised and working on Williams Treaty Territory. They are a member of Batchewana First Nation and have familial ties to Neyaashiinigmiing. Their interdisciplinary practice spans photography, beadwork, textiles, sculpture, and installation. They hold a BFA in Photography and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art, Media & Design. Outside of their own creative practice, they work in community arts programming and workshop facilitation.
