The Community Mapping Project Workshop #2

If your friends are visiting from far for the first time, where would you bring them for their first meal in Scarborough? Where would you bring them to showcase your neighbourhood? Maybe it’s your favourite green space, a familiar street where a memory was made, a local store to shop for the best ingredients when you’re homesick?🌳🐦

Drop by and make a personal map with us at the second session of The Community Mapping Project, a three-part series exploring our neighbourhood through art and contribute your insights to inform our community map in north Scarborough.

You can draw, cut, paste, imagine, and create your own map of the places and routes that are part of your day. No map-making skills needed and all materials are provided. Just bring your ideas and curiosity!

📅 Date: Thursday, September 2, 2026

⏰ Time: 12–2 PM

📍 Location: Filipino Center Toronto (4395 Sheppard Ave E.)

FREE drop-in session! Everyone is welcome. ✂️🗺️

Come for a little while, make something, and have fun with us!

The Community Mapping Project has been funded by the City of Toronto’s Transit Construction Mitigation Fund, as part of Government of Canada support through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
