You’re Invited to the Neighbours Project in the Golden Mile

We’re inviting residents of the Golden Mile and Scarborough to spend Sunday afternoons making art and making friends right here in the community.

The Neighbours Project is a series of free, multi-arts drop-in workshops welcoming children, youth, adults, seniors, and every neighbour in between. Hosted at West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre, each session transforms the space through creative connection, storytelling, and shared experiences.

Together, we will make art, trade stories, meet new people, and build toward a final collective creation and celebration. Each Sunday features a rotating slate of accessible, drop-in art activities designed to spark conversation and collaboration, including:

  • Portrait printmaking sessions

  • Storytelling activities with words, images, and interactive games

  • Programming by the BGC West Scarborough for children, youth, and seniors

  • Music learning drop-ins by Soundlife Scarborough with instruments such as ukulele, hand drumming, Brazilian Maracatu, and karaoke
