Scarborough Arts Presents Cultural Hotspot: Poetry as Gathering in KGO, Co-Presented by Tender Possibilities

Scarborough Arts is excited to announce Poetry as Gathering in KGO, a three-part poetry series presented in collaboration with Tender Possibilities as part of the Cultural Hotspot Project.

Moving through elemental themes, each gathering will consider how poetry can deepen our relationship to place, memory and community. Grounding ourselves within nature physically and thematically, presents an opportunity for us to expand our perception of our day to day surroundings. Sessions will take place at different locations throughout the Kingston-Galloway-Orton Park neighbourhood, inviting us to read and reflect alongside the land, histories and lived experiences of KGO. Greater consideration of how our connection to the environment shapes our personal and collective narratives, enlivens our bonds to the places we call home.

Tender Possibilities will host and facilitate the gatherings alongside Scarborough-based featured poets Jesse June-Jack, Maneesa Veeravel and Christopher Kaputo.
