Tender Possibilities: Poetry as Gathering in KGO Session 1 Recap

On August 9, we gathered at Morningside Library for the first session of Tender Possibilities: Poetry as Gathering in KGO, a City of Toronto Cultural Hotspot Project. This three-part series is presented by Scarborough Arts and Tender Possibilities.

Led by featured poet Jessie June-Jack, the first gathering explored the theme of Earth, inviting participants to consider our connections to place, memory, nature, and community through poetry and conversation. Together, we shared stories, reflections, and creative expression while thinking about the environments and places we call home.

Moving through the elemental themes, each gathering offers an opportunity to explore how poetry can deepen our relationships to the places around us and to one another.

The series continues on August 23, featuring poet Maneesa Veeravel.
