EAST BAM! 🦾 Intro to New Media / Arduino with Tristan Sauer

COMMUNITY+Connects EAST BAM! is a series of workshops for Black Scarborough youth (14+) to engage with the dialogue between Black history and today’s art, curated by Shamika Pierre. By navigating history, we in turn take inspiration, evolve, and understand the roots of the work we make 🌱.

Participants will explore different visual art throughout Black Arts Movement history, creating and engaging with history and art. Scroll below to learn about our East BAM! workshops, taking place at the West Scarborough Neighbourhood Centre all February long.

In this beginner friendly hands on workshop led by Tristan Sauer, participants will be introduced to the Arduino coding language along with basic concepts of circuitry, and robotics. Participants will leave this workshop with a better understanding of the language and ideas as to how they can incorporate creative and interactive technology into their artistic practices.
