Thank You for Celebrating The World in a Block Party!

What an incredible two weekends!

From Birchmount Community Centre & Park to Scarborough Town Centre, hundreds of community members came together to celebrate the creativity, culture, food, and connections that make Scarborough so special.

Over two weekends, The World in a Block Party transformed everyday public spaces into vibrant community gathering places filled with live performances, artist activations, food experiences, arts vendors, family-friendly activities, and unforgettable moments shared by neighbours old and new.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, whether you attended an event, volunteered your time, performed on stage, facilitated an art activity, shared your talents as a vendor, or helped bring the event to life behind the scenes. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and community spirit made this celebration possible.

We'd also like to extend our sincere thanks to our partners: Eat More Scarborough, STC, R.I.S.E. Edutainment, SoundLife Scarborough, Borough FC, Scarborough Spots, our participating restaurants, artists, vendors, volunteers, and the many community organizations who helped make The World in a Block Party a success.

And a huge shoutout to Ella Saini, our Multimedia Coordinator for filming and editing all the precious moments from The World in a Block Party.

The World in a Block Party is supported by the City of Toronto's Community Celebration Support Fund and the Toronto Arts Council, with additional funding from the Ontario Arts Council, Delta Bingo & Gaming, and the Government of Canada. Live stage programming was presented in collaboration with R.I.S.E. Edutainment and SoundLife Scarborough, with soccer activations supported by Borough FC.

This project was also funded by the City of Toronto's World in A City Small Business Support Fund, as part of Government of Canada support through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
